Air New Zealand
Air New Zealand is making travel easier for New Zealanders through its recent introduction of TextExpress! TextExpress is a revolutionary flight delay text messaging service.
Air New Zealand's business solutions manager, Edward Overy explains: 'The introduction of Express Class for domestic travel required a new and different focus. We have reduced our fares and simplified our processes and introducing new mobile services is an important part of this.'
Bulletin Wireless provides the messaging platform to enable rapid transmission of text data to and from Air New Zealand customers.
TextExpress consists of two services: TextExpress Query and TextExpress Alert. To use TextExpress Query, customers simply text their flight number to 737, and Air New Zealand text back with the latest flight departure and arrival information for that flight. Each query request costs 50 cents.
TextExpress Alert is only available to Airpoints members, who register to receive the service by texting 737, and providing their frequent flyer number and access code issued when joining Airpoints. Air New Zealand then texts free flight departure and arrival information.
Air New Zealand is responding to the trend towards text messaging. They have recognised that customers increasingly rely on mobile phones and the Internet to purchase services and to source information.
TextExpress uses Bulletin Connect as a single point of contact with customers on a wide variety of telecommunications networks.

And here's where Bulletin Connect makes it all come together: Bulletin Connect captures all incoming messages. Every entry. Every legitimate winner.
Bulletin Connect acts as a tracking tool to qualify claimants of winning messages and avoid the forwarding of winning messages. The whole process is automatic. Response is instant and there are no fulfillment costs or additional work.

Ministry of Economic Development
The Ministry of Economic Development in New Zealand wanted to create mobile access to the Personal Property Securities Register. Specifically their requirement was to enable the public to immediately check whether there is any registered security interest in a vehicle they intend to purchase.
The solution they turned to was to use a shortcode and the Bulletin Connect platform to allow customers access their PPSR database .
Customers simply text their vehicle registration number to the shortcode. The governments database is automatically searched for relevant information related to that vehicle. That data is then sent to the customer so they know if there is any any registered security interest in a vehicle they intend to purchase
