This release of the Messenger service focuses on improving the Company Administration features, simplifying navigation and preparing for some exciting new features.

Apart from the visual stuff, we have been working hard to ensure that the Messenger service has improved resilience and the ability to be patched whilst running.

Wouldn’t it be awesome to send messages within your company to your staff directly without sending a text message? Our first publicly released stage of that journey is in item 3 below, and if you are interested in seeing the next stage, please do get in touch – we’re looking for guinea pigs.

The latest version of Messenger – released 18th November 2013 – looks a little bit like this:

 Company Administration

Company administration has a roadmap of enhancements planned for early 2014. These include bulk user import and creation, roles, broadcast to your users, email2sms self service including domain authorisation self service, todo lists and much more. We’ve made some changes in this release to pave the way for these changes, as well as improve validation, reduce clutter and create space for in-page help.

You’ll notice the handy left-navigation element shown below, and we have split the larger pages into sections so you only see what you need to. This will also permit us to manage permissions and roles in a future release.

 Touch2TXT Online

We’ve added the ability to use templates from the compose page for easier messaging on-the-move You can now swipe left and right to move between the Compose screen, Inbox and Sent folders (device browser permitting)

 Inter-user Messaging

If a messaging recipient within your company happens to also be a user on the Messenger platform they will get a message in their Inbox as well as the text to their mobile handset.

We do this by matching the mobile number to that of the recipient. Such an awesome feature!
