5 Incredible Mobile Breakthroughs of 2013

2013 was the year of innovative mobile technology. Twenty years ago, we used our mobile devices primarily for calling and, really, not much else. Today, our mobile devices help run our entire lives and without them we would be lost. Some of us are even get caught carrying on conversations with our mobile device, through our favorite travel companion, Siri. There’s no arguing that mobile is a huge part of our lives, and it’s only getting bigger.

Make it yours with the new Messenger

For a long time you’ve been asking for custom versions of our Messenger platform – either  for a complete white-label used by a reseller or a co-branded edition for company internal usage. In order to make this possible we have taken a long term view on the structure of the product so that ultimately just about every part of the user experience colouring, wording, correspondence, emails etc can be decided on-the-fly.

Most competitors will tell you they have “White-Labelling” and please contact sales. Soon afterwards you get roped into an expensive and time consuming customisation process. You’ll pay too. Our White-Labelling can be instantly provisioned and customised by you in real time. You [...]

TXT Fundraising – Small donations for Big Causes

Much has been made recently about how the US Presidential Campaigns have been allowed to utilise SMS for fundraising and this has raised awareness of the avenue but it is not just for Donkeys and Elephants.

SMS Fund for fundraising has been used by Charities for many years as a way to generate donations especially from the younger markets, some campaigns with more success than others.  Is Obama Inc. a charity or does Romney really need your $5 when Corporate America is bank rolling their luncheons?  Probably not, but [...]

In a nutshell you can send message from a normal on-net handset that appear to be coming from elsewhere to iPhone devices.

Different carriers will have different ways of dealing with the UDH content and you may find that your carrier strips it out, but on Vodafone New Zealand, the UDH data is transmitted fully to the recipient handset. It [...]
